Making TG Headlines As Well As Pop Music, German Teen Kim Petras Shows The World That Realizing You're Transgendered Begins Early In Life!
*This article is culled from several sources including the Austrian Times newspaper. I have spoken at length with Kim’s friend, Michael Leidig, at Central European News who is currently handling her interviews. Michael is very logical, and protective in keeping Kim from being exploited for the obvious reasons. We also thank him with providing TG LIFE with EXCLUSIVE photos. Everyone at TG LIFE respects this approach as Kim is only sixteen years old. We wish her the greatest in success and totally respect her confidentiality!

This year Germany’s Independent label Joyce Records signed teen model Kim Petras and now just released her first single, Fade Away.
According to top producer Fabian Gord who heads the label, “Her debut song Fade Away which she wrote herself proves that she has got the talent to legitimate the internet hype which came up about her. You can imagine how many acts there are out there but when we heard Kim’s voice and some of her compositions we knew we had to sign her straight away."
Last year Kim became a model for a nationwide German hair salon chain, whose director, Giuseppe Pino Galanti said: "Kim fits perfectly with the image we want to portray. She is very pretty, and has a lot of style and personality, both of which are equally important. Our stylists produce work that is sassy, trendy and unique, just like Kim."
Now all of this would be an incredible dream for any teenager – worldwide. And it’s especially a dream since Kim was born a boy merely sixteen years ago.
According to the Austrian Times, Kim, 16, said: "My music is most important to me at the moment. It’s the way I can best express myself. I know that because of my past people will always bring up the subject; I can’t get away from it. But I hope that one day I might be better known for my music than for my past."
Kim received worldwide publicity at age 12 when she appeared in numerous articles describing her as the "world’s youngest transsexual". Although this claim is erroneous, as children as young as six have been diagnosed with GID, and have begun transition, Kim may qualify as the youngest - at that time - to have received hormone treatments.
Kim received further publicity at the age of 14 when she appeared in a television documentary and various talk shows in a push to get permission for early Gender Reassignment Surgery.
Kim explained: "I wound up in the wrong body."
Her father Lutz has stated: "I suppose it took me longer than my wife to accept it, but Kim is a very persuasive girl, she knows what she wants and how to get it. I am very proud of what she has achieved, how she has managed to get there and how she sticks to her dreams no matter how hard and painful they are to follow."
With an incredible story, and impressive talent, Kim Petras will not only be staying in the news as a young TG music sensation, but a girl with a head on her shoulders. A new force in the entertainment industry to be reckoned with; we wish her all of the luck she deserves!
