  • 7 Tips On Achieving A Slimmer Look

    1) Get The Right Size: The key to getting an instant slimming look is a combination of the right size, the right color, the right pattern and the right fabric. Don’t buy sizes that are too big as well as sizes that are far too small. Women's clothing needs to be well-tailored and well fitting in order to appear slimming. Tight clothes will not appear slimming – in fact quite the oppos

  • Thinning Your Nose With Makeup!

Cosmetic Tips Without Surgery Years ago I learned not only to do my makeup, but to do makeovers on others from former Revlon and TG makeover magician, Jim Bridges. One tip people always wanted to know was how to make their nose look more feminine, or smaller, using makeup. Here’s some tips from Ehow.com. • Keeping Your Wig Looking Great!

Easy Care Tips For Alternative Hair 1: Purchase a set of proper accessories such as a wig brush, wig comb, wig shampoo and conditioner, wig stand, wig hair spray and other accessories meant for styling. 2: Do not brush your wig with a regular comb or hairbrush. Use the proper accessories! 3: Before putting on wig, make sure your own hair is clean and dry. Alternatively, you can also wear a wig

  • Converting Your Life To Fulltime

I believe it is very important, to slowly re-do your home, to look (and feel) more feminine… than the way your home looked previously. I would begin with a bold color of paint, on an accent wall in your living room and also in your bedroom. Perhaps one color behind your bed, and purchase a bedspread with that color in it, and purchase some fabulous throw pillows from Pier One.  In your

  • Transitioning Tips!

Is your size, height, and weight important, when considering transition?  Let me try to describe what I have seen, from working with hundreds of TG woman privately. Of course, one has to be true to themselves. However, one has to be sure, they have made the right time choices. The girls I see, who succeed with the least amount of problems… have considered if they are transitioning a

  • Applying Wet Eyeshadow

How To Apply WET Eye Shadow For Liquid Eye Liner Don’t feel alone - most women will agree…. liquid is the most difficult to use. However, many love the look liquid liner gives. I have found, the best solution around using liquid. First, find a WET eye shadow, I use Lancôme. (It can be used dry, for a powder eye shadow.) Next find a very tight brush head… or use

  • Achieving A Passable Voice

The New Year is here and it's time to start thinking about your goals for 2009. I hope UNLEASHING your femininity is at the top of the list! That begs the question... what's the most important part of passing as woman? Is it the hair? The makeup? The clothes? The truth is, it's ALL important…. but nothing will "out" you faster than having a voice that doesn't match your feminin

  • Plucking Your Eyebrows

    1. You may moisturize before plucking, as that may hurt less. However, if you prefer to pluck your brows when the skin is dry, you may be more accurate with the tweezer. 2. Put a dab of Anbesol on the brow area to numb it, or alternatively, you may hold a cold washcloth to the brow for a few seconds before you start. 3. Decide the shape you want for your eyebrows. 4. Pluck the hairs ou

  • Lipstick Tips

Nine tips to help you get the best from your lippy! 1: Store lipstick - and perfume - in the refrigerator. It'll last longer. 2: Never use a tester on your lips - it's unhygienic. Test lipstick on your fingertips instead of the back of your hand - the colour and texture are closer to that of your lips. 3: If you want your lipstick to last, use pencil first as a base. Outline and

  • Spray On Blush!

I recently tried a new product on the market, a “spray on blush”. It contains moisturizer which helps to blend… using a sponge. You can try this, or perhaps, use a cream blush. I have found, for skin over 40… always put a small amount of lotion, on a sponge and then apply your liquid foundation. For the TG woman, both the moi

  • Great Tips For Buying Your First Dressy Dress!

    1. Decide on Formality: Usually the event invitation will clue you into the formality of the event, whether it’s casual or black tie. But sometimes even that will cause confusion (short dress or long?) In general; the later in the day the event (after 6 p.m.), the dressier it will be. Long dresses are usually reserved only for formal occasions. While some fabrics are year-ro

  • Which Handbag Works With Larger Shoulders?

By Denae Doyle - www.femimage.com The wrong size purse, for your body type… can be an instant give away for the TG woman. Here are my suggestions for the taller TG woman.  Bag

  • Tips For Shaving Your Legs!

What is the best way to shave your legs to prevent a rash? For TG’s who do not have a lot of experience with shaving their legs, underarms and bikini area, this is a wonderful question! First, I have found out how important it is to exfoliate your skin before shaving. It gets rid of all the dead skin cells that could clog up your razor, preventing a close shave. I exfoliate my f

  • How To Have Beautiful Skin Without Spending Any Money!

I recently spoke with a beautiful woman, who is 74 years old, and looks 50. She shared a few of her "natural, inexpensive" skin care tips. Here are a few ways to protect your skin, without spending any money! 1. Avoid soaking in your bathtub, or taking long showers--as this destroys the substances that keep skin cells intact. And, avoid bath oils in the bath-as the oil

  • TG Sizing For Breast Forms And Hip Pads!

Denae Doyle’s Recipe For The Perfect Fit ~ For TG Sizing Of Breast Forms and Hip Pads TG’s must measure themselves differently, than a genetic female, therefore the typical size chart for clothing, must be changed for TG’s to find the perfect fit. Here is my recipe: Start with the measurement you cannot change much. For most TGs, that will be your waist size. Measure it

  • TOP TEN TIPS for the Transgender Voice

By Kathe Perez, Certified Speech-Language Pathologist President, Exceptional Voice, Inc.   WATCH OUT FOR DRYNESS.   Dry climates, excessive talking, poor intake of water or clear liquids, and too much caffeine (to name a few) will dry out the throat and vocal folds.  When the vocal folds become dry, they become stiffer, which makes it much harder to control your

Many TG’s are afraid; afraid to get out of the house, and afraid people might find out that if they are a man, they have a feminine side.  Afraid their significant other might disapprove or leave them, and afraid they might lose their jobs and get fired. Our TG brothers often share many of the similar fears.
